Computer Learning Series for Seniors

New Series Begins April 22

This series is designed to support seniors in creating a working relationship with personal computers that is beneficial and fun.

Tuesdays & Thursdays
10:00 – 11:30 am

Session 1 – We begin with an overview of personal computers: their many uses, the hardware components and software types.  You will become familiar with the latest computer jargon.

Sessions 2 - 4 – Windows basics:  the desktop, recycle bin, toolbars, icons, and all the standard conventions that are applicable across all types of software programs.  You will grow comfortable maneuvering around the desktop and windows.

Session 5 – 8 Word processing basics:  using Microsoft Works Word Processor to create documents

Session 9 –  Communicating through the use of email.  You will learn to send and receive messages.

Session 10 – Having fun with PCs: download and format pictures, special formatting conventions, games and other functions that make computers fun.
